Clinical Counselling for Individuals and Groups

Clinical Counselling focuses on increasing emotional and mental well-being to restore balance to one’s life.

The purpose of counselling is to assist an individual to understand their struggles and learn skills to enhance self-growth. Counselling services can increase self-awareness, improve coping skills, and decrease mental illness symptoms.

Ultimately, counselling can help an individual to perform better at work or school, improve relationships with others, increase self-acceptance, and adjust to life stressors.

Many extended health plans cover the cost (or a portion of the cost) of services from a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) or Registered Social Worker (RSW). Contact your plan provider for information on the coverage you may receive when you access counselling services.

A RCC and a RSW have met the educational, experience, and professional requirements of the Association or College in order to be registered. Furthermore, every registered professional must meet the ethical code of conduct and standards of practice determined by the Association or College.
