Acupuncture – The Ancient Art

Acupuncture Therapy is a natural (non-chemical) treatment for pain and stress. It addresses, stabilizes and stimulates the body’s circulatory and immune systems and results in a permanent healing.  Acupuncture stimulates the body to produce chemicals such as endorphins (-Endo (“inside”) + Morphine),  which are natural painkillers with no side effects. This treatment replaces pain and fatigue with revitalizing energy and relief of stress and tension.

Our body is a living electro-chemical engine

When all parts of the engine are functioning at their optimal power, our body is in balance and we have good health.  When parts of the body become weakened especially our immune system, as a result of injury or unhealthy diet or lifestyle, our body becomes unbalanced; its major organs start to break down and it becomes vulnerable and susceptible to viral and bacterial invaders and various kinds of disease. By stimulating the weakened parts of our body, acupuncture helps the immune system to fight back and restore the body’s balance and enables it to repair itself. Therefore, acupuncture is a unique therapy that greatly enhances our health and well-being.

After finding the precise acu-points, and inserting the needles with accurate directions with our gentle and subtle technique, a sensation will pass through whole areas of the body along the meridian pathways. These sensations can be felt as a dull pressure, numbness, tingling or a kind of electric shock or feeling of hotness.  It should never be painful. These sensations are a normal part of acupuncture and they mean that the treatment is effective. The needles used are pre-sterilized and disposable so there is no risk of infection being transfered.

We, as the Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) health care practitioners confide in the foundations of TCM to differentiate syndromes and diagnose diseases. Our treatments include Chinese Acupuncture, Cupping, Acupressure/Tui Na, Food Cure, and Herbal Therapy.
